Part I — The Engineered Board
HDHMR, built denser.
High-density, high-moisture-resistant — the engineered panel that quietly replaced plywood in modern kitchens.
Plywood is layered. HDHMR is homogeneous — pressed wood fibres bonded with thermosetting resins at >850 kg/m³. The result: a smoother surface that takes laminate cleanly, screws that grip harder, and a panel that shrugs off the daily moisture of an Indian kitchen.

One core, four finishes.

Plain
Raw board, paint-ready. The blank canvas — apply your own laminate, paint, or veneer.
Variant 02
Single Side
One face pre-laminated. Use the finished side outward, plain side hidden inside the carcass.
Variant 03
Both Sides
Two factory-laminated faces. Ready for shutters where both sides will be visible.
Variant 04
Fabric
Textile-laminated finish. A premium acoustic-soft surface for headboards and accent panels.
Part III — Why HDHMR
Three things plywood can't quite do.
HDHMR isn't an upgrade across the board — but in three specific situations it quietly outperforms even premium plywood.
Reason 01
Smoother surface
No wood grain to fight against. Laminate adheres flatter, paint sits flatter, and there's no need for skim-coating before finishing.
Reason 02
Better screw hold
Higher density means screws bite into a uniform medium, not just one ply at a time. Hinges, slides, handles — all hold harder, longer.
Reason 03
Moisture-stable
Unlike plywood, HDHMR doesn't have layered cores that can split or swell. In a kitchen carcass, this is the difference between five years and fifteen.

Plywood swells in vanities. HDHMR doesn't — pair with a BWP back panel and you have a permanent install.

Part VII — Questions
Asked before every kitchen.
Both HDHMR and BWP plywood are excellent for kitchens. HDHMR offers superior moisture resistance, smoother surface for laminating, and better screw holding. BWP plywood is marine-grade and extremely durable. For modern modular kitchens, HDHMR is often preferred for its finish quality.
For kitchens, BWP Grade Plywood or HDHMR Boards are the best choices. They are water-resistant and termite-proof. Brands like CenturyPly Sainik 710 or Action Tesa HDHMR are highly recommended.
WPC (Wood Plastic Composite) boards are 100% waterproof, termite-proof, and suitable for exterior use. HDHMR (High Density High Moisture Resistant) boards are engineered wood panels with superior moisture resistance, ideal for kitchens and bathrooms. WPC is more expensive but offers better durability for wet areas.
