How to Choose the Right Plywood Grade
A 4-step guide to picking MR / BWR / BWP for your project. Approx 15 minutes to read.
- Identify the Application Area. Determine if the plywood will be used in dry areas (bedrooms, living rooms), semi-wet areas (kitchen dry zones), or wet areas (bathrooms, kitchen wet zones, exterior).
- Select the Appropriate Grade. For dry areas, use MR (Moisture Resistant) grade. For kitchen dry areas, use BWR (Boiling Water Resistant). For bathrooms and wet areas, use BWP (Boiling Water Proof) grade.
- Choose the Right Thickness. For wardrobes and furniture, 12mm or 18mm is standard. For doors, use 19mm or 25mm. For heavy-duty applications, opt for thicker panels.
- Select a Trusted Brand. Choose trusted brands for guaranteed quality and warranty. Verify authenticity with dealer certificates.
